What is bulk CRM enrichment?

Bulk CRM enrichment is filling many stale or blank CRM records at once from public sources, such as SEC filings and firm websites, with every proposed value citing its source and a human approving before anything is written. It replaces one-off manual research with a reviewed batch process, and it differs from buying a data list, which arrives uncited and starts going stale the day it lands.

The scale of the problem is why one-at-a-time fixes fail. At a mid-market advisory firm on DealCloud, 77% of buyer records were unmatchable to a real firm and more than 50,000 fields sat blank. No analyst is going to research their way through that by hand, and no one-time cleanup project stays clean.

Enrichment done right works from primary sources. A sponsor's fund size comes from its filing, its criteria from its own website, and each proposed value arrives with the citation attached. A person reviews the batch, old value next to new value next to source, and approves what is right.

The contrast with bought data is the citation and the approval. A purchased list overwrites your records with values you cannot trace, and one bad feed can contaminate a whole CRM. Cited, human-approved enrichment means every filled field can answer where it came from.
