Arvya vs 4Degrees
4Degrees is a CRM that knows who knows whom. Arvya is not a CRM: it is the trust and process layer on whichever CRM you already run, verifying its data against evidence and managing the deal on top.
What 4Degrees is
4Degrees is a relationship-intelligence CRM built for deal-driven teams in private equity, investment banking, and venture. It auto-logs email and meetings, maps who at the firm knows whom, surfaces warm introduction paths, and manages pipeline, all inside its own system of record. For a team that wants a CRM with relationship intelligence native to it, it is a focused, credible choice.
What Arvya is
Arvya is not a CRM and does not ask a firm to switch. It is the trust and process layer that works with the CRM the firm already owns: it builds one verified deal memory from email, calls captured by the Arvya Notetaker, the CRM, trackers, documents, and data rooms, reconciles that evidence against the CRM field by field, and stages every change with its old value, new value, source, and date for human approval before writing back with a read-after-write receipt. On top of that memory it runs the deal: pre-call briefs, buyer trackers, cited buyer lists, weekly client updates, data room Q&A, and cited Ask Arvya answers. Relationship mapping on the same verified memory is in development.
Where each is stronger
4Degrees is stronger at
- • Relationship intelligence native to the CRM: warm paths, network mapping, and auto-logged activity
- • A single system of record purpose-built for deal teams, with pipeline management included
- • A focused product for firms ready to adopt a new CRM rather than layer on an existing one
Arvya is stronger at
- • Vendor-neutral: configured around the CRM you already own instead of becoming your CRM
- • Verification, not only capture: every proposed change carries its old value, new value, source, and date, and every write is read back as a receipt
- • Runs the deal process on the memory: briefs, buyer trackers, cited buyer lists, weekly updates, and data room Q&A
Arvya vs 4Degrees: FAQ
How is Arvya different from 4Degrees?
4Degrees is a CRM: a system of record with relationship intelligence built in, which a firm adopts as its CRM. Arvya is not a CRM. It is the trust and process layer on whichever CRM the firm already runs: it verifies the CRM's data against evidence from email, calls, documents, and outside sources, routes every change through human approval with a read-after-write receipt, and manages the deal process on top of that verified memory.
Does Arvya replace our CRM?
No. Arvya works on the DealCloud or Salesforce a firm already owns, with other systems configured per deployment. The CRM stays the system of record; Arvya's job is to make its records true and keep the deal moving on top of them, with a human approving every write.
Does Arvya do relationship intelligence like 4Degrees?
Not as a shipped feature today. Relationship mapping and warm-path lookup are in development. Arvya's current focus is the verified per-deal record: who was contacted, what was said, and what changed in the CRM, each with a citation and a receipt where writeback is configured. If native warm-path ranking inside a CRM is the primary need right now, 4Degrees ships that today.
